Over the span of 29 years, Andrew continues to be actively engaged in improving levels of engagement within the industry by actively steering his company to embrace diversity, safety and environmental sustainability. The experience, knowledge and causes he has championed, have resulted in him being invited to sit on boards for external organizations, and invited to join committees as a business Mentor for minority groups. His longevity in the industry, and his continued enthusiasm to it, is evidenced by the growth of Super Gardens and the inroads he has made into assisting minority groups assimilate into the community (also addressing the skill shortages within the industry). Andrew's knowledge, experience, business acumen and willingness to be engaged with the Association contributes significantly in helping to steer our industry toward sustainable growth well into the future.

"I want to get involved in the industry that is our livelihood, hoping to add value from my experience in running a successful medium sized landscape business. I feel very positively about the direction that Landscaping Victoria is heading. I believe their current focus on consumer awareness is of vital importance to the success of all members"
David Jarman - Treasurer
Director of Coolabah Landscaping, Pools & Construction, David Jarman has been in the industry for over 30 years and has a wealth of industry specific and business related expertise to help support the growth of our association. He is passionate about achieving results and proud to be able to provide a holistic and uniquely tailored experience for each of his clients.
He is excited to be a part of the LV board for a second term and is eager to get involved in any way he can to best engage with our existing members, whilst also remaining focused on the continual growth of LVML in the future.
My 15-year membership has provided me with many networking opportunities, as well as keeping me abreast of new products and trends in the industry. In addition, my membership has provided many opportunities to be involved in major events, such as numerous gardens at MIFGS, both with show gardens and mentoring.
I feel it is important that by being on the Board I can be there to support many members, especially other Landscape Designers who are small business owners just like me.
Justin joins the Board with a focus to increase the involvement of women in the industry, having seen many benefits of doing so within his own business. He also wants to support the growth and legislation of industry standards, combining this with the recognition of qualifications achieved through formal training and the necessity for industry professionals to have these qualifications to perform certain projects. Justin's belief that greater recognition and participation of LVML within the construction industry, especially with the relevant government authorities, aligns with the focus of past and current strategic goals.
"I'm passionate about the Landscape Industry, I have been part of it since 1974 when I started as an apprentice. My role in the industry is now around education. I see education as a partnership with industry and constantly needs to be assessed to improve the outcomes for everyone involved. I see my role on the board as a connection to training institutions and to advise and listen to the needs of the Industry to make it stronger for everyone involved."
"I have been running my business for the past 17 years and been a member of LVML for twelve. The industry has been very good to me and I am keen to give back in some small way.
I have had 3 successful businesses so I understand what is needed and how to support others to achieve success. My passion is about driving professionalism within our industry, and I look forward to being of service to an industry that has been very generous to my business. I have acted on governance boards in the past in various capacities and look forward to being of service to the Landscape Industry.”
"I have been the Director of Forever Green Horticulture and Consulting Services Pty Ltd for over 21 years. I believe upholding the professionalism in our expanding industry, begins and ends with excellent communication with our members.
I’d like to work closely with new businesses within the industry, to promote the important role that Landscaping Victoria plays in upholding the professionalism in our industry."
As a past board member (2003-2007), I have experienced the satisfaction of helping shape the future direction of the industry we all work in. I was heavily involved with the team that made building registration for our sector a reality and one that I and others are immensely proud of.
In 35 years, I have watched this industry grow from being a cottage industry, to one that is now robust, professional, and expanding at an exponential rate. It is exciting to know that I might be able to assist to shape this change further now that I have a bit more time to give.
I also believe that my time as a business owner has taught me much. There have been many who assisted me along my path in business, so I hope to now pay some of that kindness forward.
