When The Front Garden first launched back in 2020, its very first guest was a young landscape builder named Adam Hompas.
Fast forward five years, and Adam has returned to the mic, this time not as a guest, but as the new host of Landscaping Victoria’s much-loved industry podcast.
Adam takes the reins from long-standing host Chris Weiss, who guided the show through more than 120 episodes.
Chris’s warm style and genuine curiosity helped build The Front Garden into a go-to resource for landscapers looking for inspiration, insights, and stories from across the industry. Now, with Chris stepping back, Adam is bringing his own fresh perspective and energy to the role.

A Landscaper’s Perspective
As the founder of Adam Hompas Landscapes, Adam brings first-hand experience of running a successful design-and-build landscaping business in Victoria. His award-winning work spans high-end residential projects, with a focus on delivering functional, stylish outdoor spaces that reflect both the architecture of the home and the lifestyle of the client.
That grounding in both design and construction gives Adam a unique perspective behind the microphone. He knows the challenges landscapers face: quoting jobs, managing teams, liaising with clients, and he understands the creativity, resilience, and problem-solving it takes to succeed in this industry.
Why Adam as Host?

Adam: Learning to sit still!
